This database contains the names of those from the Island of Ireland who returned home either to the Island of Ireland or elsewhere at the end of the war.   The list will be updated in May 2025.

This list contains over 42,000 names. It may take sometime to download so some patience is required.   If you experience IT issues, please contact your provider. The project is not in a position to provide any further information nor deal with queries on individual entries due to volume of names.

The information on www.worldwar1veterans.com which is a voluntary project is made available to acknowledge and gather the names of the Island of Ireland's world war 1 veterans.  It should not be used for any other purpose especially for profit including profit making genealogy research and any academic research  without express permission of the administrator.
